Further to our forecast of last week, we are now in a position to state, although the report and accounts of the Great Eastern London Motor Omnibus Co.. Ltd.. will not be published for another fortnight. that the excess of income over expenditure is in the neigh bon rhood of 1.5.200. This COMpates with 1:11.97-1 for the preceding 12 months. After provision for depredation. refluction of preliminary expenses and dividend, the amount carried forward is substantially greater than at the 30th .Tune. 1908.

Trolley Omnibuses.

Railless electric traction, for which no English corporation has yet been able to obtain Parliamentary powers, is about to be tried experimentally at Hendon, and we shall look forward to the demonstration with some interest. in view of the opportunity it will give for comparisons. Our readers will be aware that we seriously question the advantage of this system, which involves overhead equipment with two copper conductors, when so many approved makes of motorbus are available. We learn from the Railless Electric Traction Co., Ltd., of 56. Moorgate Street, E.C., that its system is receiving a certain amount of attention from the Press in Madras.
