Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Association of Load Restraint Equipment Manufacturers

The Association of Load Restraint Equipment Manufacturers (ALREM) is dedicated to raising the standards of safety and quality in the transport load control and load safety equipment sectors. It joined the Performance Textiles Association, recognising that the association was already active in safety issues concerning truck side curtains, nets, webbing, load restraints and tarpaulins.

Improving the quality and safety of load-restraining products is a key activity for ALREM. It promotes the proper use of load restraint equipment to ensure the safe movement of goods. It is also helping to develop effective strength ratings for web and buckle load restraint systems, and is encouraging haulers and drivers to make safe load restraint a top priority.

The ALREM website carries a list of load restraint manufacturers. Contact 01827 52337; info@muta.org.uk; www.alrem.ormuk
