Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

the Certificate of Professional Competence Examinations, and the alleged cheating by certain Training Organisations (CM 22-28 March).

I have been involved with CPC lecturing since 1978 and have heard some horrendous stories about the manipulation of examination results, but have never actually seen any concrete evidence.

Although the RSA provides a good monitoring system I feel it could be improved with the introduction of the following points.

1. On completion of their answer sheets candidates should sign for the number of corrections they have made. This would eliminate any chance of altering the answers after the examination.

2. When the RSA representative arrives to monitor the examination they should arrive well before it commences and stay until the answer sheets have been returned by registered post to the RSA.

I feel the offer of excessive rewards for information leading to "exposing the cheats" is counter productive as who is going to admit to "cheating". It may also appear as a vendetta against Training Centres who constantly achieve an above average pass rate.
