NEW CHESTER offices for solicitors Aaron & Partners, which employs Focus transport lawyer Jonathan Lawton, have been declared open by the Minister for Energy Peter Morrison, who said they are another feather in the city's cap.
"You are," he said, "to put it bluntly, given that you started your business just after 1979, one of Thatcher's most successful children." The practice was founded by Julian Aaron in 1970 and the Chester practice established in 1983. It is now located at Grosvenor Court, having acquired the practice of Jonathan Lawton in 1987 after which the practice expanded into transport and the international carriage of goods.
The firm now works internationally, participating in CLECAT the European Liaison
Committee for the Transport Industry in Brussels, with representation on the transport committee of the French Chamber of Commerce (UK). The practice is also secretary to the Heavy Transport Association and English Solicitors for the Irish Overseas Transport Association.
Jonathan Lawton is also honorary solicitor to the National Association of Warehousekeepers.
