• Frail! Motor Group, the Hereford-based distributor for Renault and Seddon Atkinson CVs and cars, has gone into receivership. It is now involved in "urgent discussions" with both manufacturers. "It is too early to say what will happen," says Renault, "our prime priority is to provide cover for operators in the area."
The company, which employs 150 people, has a subsidiary carrying out metal fabrication for forklift truck manufacturers.
Following a series of factory redundancies Seddon Atkinson is recruiting sales people as part of a minor reorganisation of its dealer struc
ture. "We are looking for area sales managers to take on groups of distributorships and a municipal sales manager to help us strengthen our position in the local-authority refusecollection market," says the company. "The market is very quiet out there so we need to get out and get whatever business is available."
