BULK DERV UP

Average bulk dery prices increased slightly in March, • independent company, Oil Price Assessments, reports.

Operators were paying on average 27.7p per litre plus VAT at the end of March compared with an end of February average of 27.2p p VAT, OAP says.

This was due to the Chancellor's Budget boost in dery duty of 1.24p per litre, although rebating reduced much of the burden to operators.

Retail prices, which inclucl VAT, fell nearly 0.5p a litre from 39.5p at the end of February to 39.1p at the end March, OAP states.
