A. F. R. Carling has been elected chairman of Ribble Motor Services Ltd. in succession to R. P. Beddow, who is retiring. Mr. Beddow has been a director since 1943 and chairman since 1947. T. R. Barron has also resigned from the board following his appointment as assistant general manager of British Railways, Western Region. G. M. Newberry and J. Pollard fill the vacancies on the board. Mr. Carling also succeeds Mr. Beddow as chairman of Scout Motor Services Ltd. and W. C. Standerwick Ltd. and Mr. Newberry becomes a director of these companies.
