Mr. Alexander Findlay was applying fo the B licences which were formerly in th name of Mr. Peter Cram. Mr. C ram said tha he had entered into an agreement with MI Findlay to sell his haulage business to hin subject to the approval of the Licensin; Authority. Mr. Wells, however, took excep tion to the wording of the agreement, whicl stated that the price of the lorry and the twi B licences should be £450.

"Licences are not for sale", said Mr. Welk "and I am not prepared to accept this agree ment as a binding agreement."
