ARANGE of power steering equipment recently introduced by Vickers Sperry Rand Ltd., New Lane, Havant, Hants, is to be shown at the forthcoming International Engineering Exhibition. The number of basic standard components is few—one pump, one servo valve and four sizes of cylinder, and from these standard units systems can be developed suitable for vehicles with steered axe loads from 1,500 to 128,000 lb. It is frequently possible to use only one power steering system for a complete range of various-sized vehicles which has obvious spares and service advantages.
