A BURTON UPON TRENT haulier, who falsified a tachograph chart to enable him to get home after injuring his back, h as been ordered to pay £250 in fines and costs by magistrates in Leyland, Lancashire.

Ian Lacey admitted falsifying the record and exceeding the daily driving limit on 15 April. For Lacey, Michael Cunningham said that on 13 April Lacey had slipped and hurt his back while loading a different truck with medical supplies on a charity run to Bel arus for another driver.
