/E MUST take issue with Bill rock's assessment of the TL 50 {CM road test August 21). le presented this truck for test )ecifically as a practical and fficient urban delivery vehicle. his application is repeatedly oknowledged in the report but le key judgments on the ahicle's performance were ased upon trunk road and iotorway operation.
As Bill says: "This vehicle was pecified for town delivery work here acceleration,
erformance and top speed are ot paramount. Other engines, earbox and rear axle ratios are vailable and it is important to at the right mix to suit a articular type of application./e agree completely. For your telsh route, performance ,quirements would easily have een met by either the 5.4-litre irbocharged Red Series 07.4bhp net) or the 8.3-litre irbocharged Blue Series 30.1bhp net) engine with ppropriate gearbox and axle. It's simply a question of horses for courses" and we elieve we have the "horses" to latch most applications. If it is a roblem of "courses", could it that there's a case for a CM rban delivery route?
