Co. Ltd., Mr. R. Brandon, is to retire at the end of this year; he will be 65 this month. He joined Midland Red in 1923 and later in the 'twenties he became timetable saperintendent; after this he represented the company in licensing applications. Mr. Brandon became traffic manager in 1947 after several years as chief traffic officer.
