Ernest Belcher has, at his own request, retired as sales manager of Ransome and Marles Bearing Co. Ltd. He will retain his seat on the board. Mr. Belcher joined the company in 1919, after serving in the First World War, as assistant to the technical manager. Four years later he was appointed technical sales manager, and in 1953 Mr. Belcher joined the board as sales manager and director, and has since held this position. Subsequent to the retirement of Mr. Belcher, Mr. Alan .1. Marks has been appointed general manager (sales and technical). Mr. Mantes was previously technical manager, and in addition to these duties he will be responsible for those previously held by Mr. Belcher. Mr. Mantes has a very wide experience in both the production and application of ball and roller bearings.
