• Ilona Richards, founder of the Lady Truckers' Club, has been nominated for the Woman of the Year Award, which will be judged on 15 October. If she wins it will be the second year running that the transport industry has been successful last year Anne Gloag, managing director of Stagecoach Holdings won.
Richards set up the association 41/2 years ago and it now has more than 160 members.
