Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The opening of a £1.5 million lorry park at Altens in Aberdeen is in doubt, following a mistake in the planning application for the park.

The park's developers, JGB Group, omitted to include the word 'hotel' in its planning application, thereby precluding the site from gaining a drinks licence — a vital prerequisite to the economic running of the park.

A spokesman for JGB says, "We are not sure at the moment what is going to happen. There has been a hiccough in the system."

The Altens Lorry Park was due to open in January, but the company is not sure if the planned opening will now take place.

News of the setback at Altens will come as a great disappointment to truck operators in Aberdeen who have been faced with poor HGV parking facilities in the city for more than twenty years.

A new licence application could take anything up to six months to process.
