Gailey, -the National Bus Company's group's first chief executive, following a short illness.
His career began with West Yorkshire Road Car in 1932; he then moved to Bristol Omnibus, and held senior management posts with Western National, Southern National and the Tilling Association. He retired in 1971.
• Norman Ferns, the founder of Leek based Norman Ferns Removals died suddenly on September 24. He was 63.
Norman Ferns started his removals business after leaving the army in 1947. The Company handles general haulage traffic for local textile companies as well as domestic and industrial removals.
