There were 184 fatal accidents involving PSVs for every 100 million kilometres travelled last year, compared with 227 accidents in 1984. Only one PSV driver was killed.

Overall, 10,251 people were killed or injured in accidents involving PSVs last year, compared with 10,473 in 1984.
