3URREY independent Tillingmurne Bus will be one of the irst customers for a new nedium-weight Dennis singlelecker, the Lancet.
It is expecting delivery of a Om underfloor-engined model, lowered by a Leyland 402 enline, in June next year, and lopes to have it bodied, either ry Wadham Stringer or Plaxton, iy September.
The company says it needs a ehicle which is stronger than le Ford R-Series or Bedford 'MO, but which is not in the eavyweight category repreented by the Leyland Leopard. also has experienced difficulty getting 10m Leopards which re needed to negotiate country Ines.
The bus, which will have an Ilison automatic gearbox, in)rporates many parts already sed in the Dennis range, notply from the Dominator, Falcon id fire engines.
