Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN INSTALLATION of pneumatically operated mobile column lifts has recently been completed for Magirus Deutz main dealer, Trucks and Trailers Ltd Norwich.

Claimed to be Britain's first installation, they are lifts marketed by the sole UK agent, Concept Equipment (International) Ltd of Eccles, near Maidstone, Kent, The Condor lifts are claimed to represent a major advance in vehicle workshop equipment and to outdate pits and fixed lifts. They can be used in various combinations of two-, three-, fouror six-column sets to give lifting capacities from 8 to 36 tonnes. Special adaptations are available for lifting capacities of up to 72 tonnes.

Apart from lifting vehicles for inspection, repair, and maintenance, Condor lifts can also be used for lifting ro-ro containers. and vehicle bodies up to 30

tonnes. Purpose-designed adaptors can be supplied to enable the user to lift any known size or type of vehicle and alterations can be made to the columns to allow modifications to be made for unusual lifting applications.

A variety of interchangeable fittings allow vehicles to be lifted in several ways: wheel yokes for lifting by the wheels; traverse beams for across-chassis lifting; swivel arms for fore and aft chassis lifting; and special claws for vehicle body and container lifting.

Each Condor column is made of distortion-resistant welded steel and is fitted with an interchangeable high-quality steel perforated plate, upon which the lift motor climbs and descends.
