CAVENDISII Transport Services Ltd chairman and managing director Gideon Fiegel was installed last weekend as chairman of the Institute of Traffic Administration. Mr Fiegel, who joined loTA in 1957, began his career with the Lex Group. After overseas service with RMC Israel, he served as general manager of Hertz Leasing and Daimler Hire Ltd, and later as Eastern Carpet Stores' transport director. He has been with Cavendish since 1976. Mr Fiegel took over from the Highlands and Islands Development Board's Donald MacCuish.
Following the opening of Wilkinson Transport's Nuneaton hub centre, Malcolm Howard and Jim Woodman have been promoted to become head of operations and chief of sales and marketing respectively. Mr Howard has been with Wilkinson for six years, and was Northern regional manager for five years. Mr Woodman, who was Southeast regional manager, joined the parent Lex Group in 1975.
Other changes at Wilkinson include Doug Edwards (operations manager North), Terry Robinson (operations manager South), Keith Charlton (general manager, Chasetown), Bob Ralph (general manager, Cardiff), Ken Davies (general manager, Barking), and George Longstaff (general manager, Norwich).
At Freightliner, John Price has replaced Martin Rees as manager of the Swansea terminal. Mr Price was previously the depot's deputy manager, and Mr Rees has moved to become the company's Ministry of Defence movements controller at Andover.
Hyndburn Borough Transport's new rolling-stock engineer will be Chris Hilditch, who is Tayside Regional Council's technical and quality engineer for the Dundee city bus fleet.
NewcaStle Upon Tyne-based Jack Clarke, the National Cc Board's Western area maintE ance and repair supervisor sir 1964, has retired. Initially, was based at Rhostyllen, No Wales, but worked from Fent( Staffordshire from 1968.

Former Chartered Institute Transport president Tom Be ley, has become the eig member of Dover Harlac Board with effect from Octot for a term of three years, end on September 30, 1983. Beagley has had considera experience in the ports indus and has been a member of National Ports Council si 1979.
He joined the Ministry Transport (subsequently Dep ment of Environment) in 1.E and was Under Secretary, Mil try of Transport 1968-71. He Deputy Secretary, Transport dustries from 1972-76. Mr Be ley has served in the Departm of Economic Affairs and wa member of the United Kingd delegation to Nato during 1950s.
