A heavy-duty 24V 21W stop-light and flasher vehicle lamp, which is claimed to be up to five times more effective in withstanding shocks and vibrations than more conventional lamps, has been introduced by Osram-GEC, The lamp has a supported coil filament and is available with either single or double contacts. Sand and blast it

Heavy-duty water and sand blasters have been added to Modern Devices range of cleaning equipment.

The Vestin-Myers MD 10 range is available with electric motors or petrol or diesel engines offering outputs up to 9hp. The triple-piston Myers pumps which are used across the range feature ceramic cylinder liners and have capacities up to 96,530kN / sq m (14,000 psi).

The motor and pump are mounted On a two-castor mobile trolley and accessories available include highpressure hose with couplings, highpressure gun, sand-blaster gun with sand-suction hose and sand-picker probe and a mole nozzle for drain cleaning.

Bung Ho

Made from steel, the Powell six-way drum key has been designed to fit usual-size drum filler bungs and tap plugs. The radial-spoke arrangement of the tool permits maximum leverage to be exerted without injury to the operators knuckles and without damage to the bung or tap.

The shape and size of the tool makes it difficult to loose or mislay. Made by Powell & Co, Barry Port, Carms, South Wales. Japanese-built Yutani 102mm (4 in) and 178 mm (7 in) air-powered angle grinders are now available from Pneumatic Power (UK). The YGS4G grinder is considered suitable for general workshop use and it can be converted into a heavy-duty tool by fitting a rubber backing pad behind the grinding disc. It weighs 1.8 kg (41b), is 212mm (8.4in) long and has a speed governor fitted.

The larger YGS-7GK grinder is of similar design, but is fitted with a side handle and is available with a rotary wire-brush attachment. The tool weighs 3.4 kg (7.5 lb), has an overall length of 268 mm (10.5 in) and is fitted with a speed governor.

Rydgeway Vehicle Mouldings have added another model to their range of glassfibre one piece vehicle roofs. Based on the 2 in radius design, the new roof incorporates steel roof-stick assemblies bonded to the glassfibre roof skin. The sticks have adjustable end brackets to suit varying cant rail widths and are positioned at approximately 686mm (27 in) centres.
