AN ORDER for 18 Volvo 858 llm mid-engined coach chassis are to be delivered by December this year with the other nine by December 1975, The vehicle will be fitted with Wilson gearboxes.
All the chassis will be bodied by Plaxtons. Two vehicles in each order will have toilet accommodation.
Hail-a-bus
AN EXPERIMENTAL hail -bus service is to be started by Edinburgh Corporation for a six months period. It will be operated on a 20 minute frequency in daytime and 40 minutes at night.
