Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Four Guy Big ..I chassis fitted with truckmixers will be on show at the Public Works Exhibition which opens at Olympia on November 11. Three will be six-wheelers for 20 tons gross, including an example of the new model with Perkins V8.510 diesel engine. The fourth will be a four-wheeler for 16 tons gross.

The latest BV8-engined Big J will be shown with a 6 Cu. yd. mixer on the Ritemixer Ltd. stand while the other three chassis, which will have AEC AV505 engines, will be shown by Guy. The two six-wheelers will also have 6 cu. yd. units, while the four-wheeler will have a Ritemixer 4 Cu. yd. model.

The truckmixer exhibited by Ritemixer will be from the concern's DLFT range in which the power for the drum is provided by a Ford diesel engine driving through a Voith Diwamatic torque converter and spiralbevel right-angled-drive reduction unit. The

Ritemixer design allows concrete to be mixed in transit or on site and units can be used for agitating concrete pre-mixed at a central plant. The direction of rotation of the drum and its speed are controlled by a single lever at the rear of the mixer and this reduces the time taken when delivering on a site. particularly when discharging into skips.

Advance information has also been received on the Powell Duffryn exhibits at the Public Works show. These will be a Leach Pack master refuse collector, a PD Super-lift hoist and a 6S Dumpster bulkhandling unit. The Leach Packm aster can accept and crush awkward loads such as furniture and refrigerators—and even pianos—as wdl as handle normal domestic and trade refuse. It has an integral hydraulic crushing mechanism linked with mechanical lifting and tipping equipment for container bins. For the Exhibition, the Packmaster will be fitted to a Ford D800 chassis and will have a capacity of 17 cu yd. with a 2 Cu. yd. reception hopper. Specially designed 1.7 Cu. yd. polyester bins for. use with the Packm aster will also be shown.
