O A TRTA spokesman this week "deplored" the Secretary of State for Scotland's proposal to increase tolls for the Forth road bridge. The proposal—which would operate from May 29, 1969—would increase the present 2s 6c1 flat-rate tolls to 3s up to 30cwt unladen, 10s for other commercial vehicles and £5 for abnormal loads needing an escort.
