THE three Traffic vehicles to be shown by North-Western Motors, Ltd.,' will all embody the same type of chassis. This is of 35-40 cwt. capacity. The first is provided with a platform body of standard type, driver's cab, windscreen, etc., and the second is fitted with the Lomas patent balance side-tipping body, the driver's cab, etc., being constructed in best hardwood.

The third and last exhibit is fitted with a Bromilow and Edwards hydraulic threeway tkving gear, and a body constructed of fine quality wood. The tipping gear is operated by means of a friction drive from the flywheel to an oil reservoir containine. pumps.

The engine employed on the Traffic chassis is a Continental, known as the Red Seal type. It has a 3* in, bore and a stroke of 5 ins.; and its high-tension roagneto is provided-• with an impulse Starter. The fourcylinders are cast en -bloc, rand the cooling is thermo-syphonie. The drteefrom -the' engine is taken through,a clutch of the Multiple-disc type to a Covert gearbox. The e,ardan shaft ia in two sections,' provided with three universal joint. At its centre it is supported by a .(self -aligning Hyatt roller bearing. The rear axle is of the dual type, in which a plain steel axle takes the load, whilst a subsidiary axle carries -the bevel-gear differential and, driving shafts.
