THE exhibits to be staged by Pan, hard and Leva.ssor, the concessionnaire for which is Mr. W. A. Turpin, will.compriee two chassis—a 30 cwt. and a 3 termer. They will both be shown in bare chassis form, each being specially designed and constructed throughout for running on pneumatictyres, which are the standard equipment. Further, the wheels are of the detachable type. The following are the principal. characteristics :—
The 30 cwt. model has a. four-cylinder engine, with a. bore of .72 rum. and 140 mm. stroke. Theengine, clutch, mid gearbox form a single unit. The clutch is of the single-plate type, With fibre friction discs, and the gearbox provides four forward speeds and a reverse. The fined transmission is by an enclosed propeller shaft to a bevel-driven rear axle. The body space is 10 ft. 6 ins., the wheelbase 10 ft. 41 ins., and: the overall length 14 ft. 6 ins.
As regards the 3 ton model, this has a-Knight sleeve-valve engine, with a bore and stroke of 85 ram. and 140 nun., the other details being very similar to those on the 30 cwt. model as regards the general lay-out. The body space is 13 ft. 4 ins., wheelbase 12 ft. q ins., and the overall length 17 ft. 2 ins. The 30 cwt. model is 'shown fitted with a combined lighting and starting set, but this is not included 5i the. standard chassis price.
