THE only exhibit which will be staged by the McCurd Lorry Manufacturing Co., Ltd., will be a 4 ton polished chassis, which is practically identical with that Ahown last year, when it attracted an enormous amount of attention. The power unit is four-cylindered with a bore and stroke of 44 ins. and. 5i ins, respectively, the, cylinders being T-headed and east in pairs. The crankshaft is particularly .atrong and supported on five bearings, whilst the magneto and water pump are carried at the front cal the engine, where, they are most accessible.
The clutch has a pressed steel cone. It is of the external type. Tlie fourspeed gearbox is also three-point suspended, and behind it is an exceptionally powerful foot brake. The propeller shaft has two completely enclosed universal joints of the fork and, pin type, and this carries the drive to an overhead worm-driven axle.
