THE chief feature of interest on the Maudslay .stand will be the new motor, the bore and stroke of which measure 41 ins. by 6 ins. This engine is fittedwith a. loose head and three bearing crankshaft, the bearings being carried in the top half of the crankcase and oiled under pressure: The magneto and water pump are driven by means of a bevel gear from a vertical shaft. located at the flywheel end of the motor.

The vehicles shown will consist of (1) a 28-seater char-a-bands, the engine of the chassis being of 40 h.p., and the drive being taken through a worm gear ; (2) a 6 ton lorry, also fitted with 40 h.p. engine with double reduction drive, the length of the wheelbase being 14 ft. 6 ins., and the vehicle. being arranged with the driver's seat by the side of the engine the loading spaceof the vehicle

being 19 ft. 6 ; (3) a 3 ton chassis with 32 h.p. engine, the. power being transmitted to the rear axle through a worm gear, this vehicle also having the driver's seat by the side of the engine, whilst the chassis has a specially short wheelbase of only 10 ft. 6 ins., so that it may be run on to any standard weigh. bridge; (4) a 35-seater single-deck omnibus on a chassis with a 40 h.p. engine, the power being transmitted through a worm gear, the wheelbase of the vehicle being 15 ft. 6 ins.
