Stand No. 96.

THE Baico chassis is too well known to necessitate any detailed description. Suffice it to say that the universally-known Ford mechanism is fitted

into the Baicctrchassis, whichVsupplies all that, portion which actually carries the load.

Ba-ico Patents, Ltd., will show on Stand No. 96 four examples of this handy little machine, these being a 20-seater saloon coach de luxe, a standard 30 cwt. chassis mounted with an export-type body, an " Xtendatanna " chassis with a "Itoorny" 16-seater char-a-banes body, and a standard birry body.

The 1922 passenger type-of chassis, on which the GO-seater saloon coach is mounted, has 50 in. semi-elliptic springs as compared with the 40 in. standard, longer chains and torque arms, _an 11 ft. 2 in. wheelbase as compared with 10 ft. 8 in. standard. The seats, which are well sprung, and have wide back rests, are arranged transversely in the body, and are upholstered in good quality leather cloth. • The doors each side of the driver's seat are fitted with drop -windows, in addition to the sliding side windows, which are fixed on rubber rollers, and are noiselessly adjustable for

ventilation. The body is finished in maroon red and furnished throughout with nickel-plated fittings. The export-type body on the 30 cwt.

chassis is convertible for passenger 03

goods use. Briefly described, it ha5 lengthwise seats arranged for theAric• comrnodation of 16 persons, these seati being removable, thus leaving the body free for loads up to 30 cwt. It has r permanent double roof.

The Xtendatonna " is al ton Fore chassis adapted for passenger use an

the transport of fragile goods. The transformation, in addition to increasing the actual carrying capacity, gives a well-sprung, finely-proportioned chassis, • with 3 ft. more loading space than the ordinary Ford 1 ton ehassis.

The fourth exhibit. is type No. 14 of the Bak() standard body series, and is a well-designed, open lorry body.
