EAGLE TRAILERS, the product of the Eagle Engineering Co., Ltd„ are built for, hard service„ and their five exhibits will be representative of the various types of trailers which the, company produce.
Starting with the smallest., a 1 ton trailer with single, vertical, screw-type, end-tipping gear, specially adapted for the Ford 1 ton truck, will be shown, as well as a 3 ton Model of similar type.
The third exhibit will be a 4 ton, allsteel trailer chassis of a low-loading type fitted with pressed-steel, wheels and solid rubber tyres. This paiticular trailer is equipped with the company's patent combination" side and end-tipping wagon body, which is hand-operated. The vertical telescopic-screw-tipping gear features a new and original type, which has been provisionally pateeted.
The heaviest trailer to be shown will be a 5 ton end-tipping trailer which is operated by a single vertical telescopic screw. The screw is fitted with Hoffman ball thrust bearings and gunmetal bushes and a heavy typo gun. metal nut.. .
The final exhibit will be a special cover which should be invaluable for such vehicles as dust carts, street-clean ing vehicles and similar municipal types. The cover is equipped with the company's patent lightning fastener for securing together the edges of cloth and similar material. It is dust-proof. A vehicle equipped with this cover is illustrated on page 250.
