rr HE most interesting exhibit on the stand of Christopher Dodson, Ltd., Cobbold Road, Willesden, London, N.W., {will undoubtedly be Ttlre company's new " charabus," Which will be shown mounted on a Leyland G 7 type chassis. This body combines the desirable features of both motor coach and omnibus, and is designed so as to permit a vehicle. to be used all the year round, being, as it is, rapidly convertible from an open-type body to an all-weather type body. The normal seating capacity is 32, but this can beincreased to 42 by fitting a.utoniatie tip-up gangway seats, and one tip-up seat behind the rear door. Standard C.A.V. bus lighting set is fitted to the chassis to be shown. We reproduce herewith two illustrations of this body, one showing it in summer guise and the .other as equipped for winter employment. The second passenger body on this company's stand will be shown in the, form of a standard single-deck omnibus, type 0D19, mounted on a Tilling-Stevens T.S.3A type chassis. It is fitted with a plain roof, having a luggage rail, a ladder at the rear giving access to the top. Two of the Windows on each side are arranged with the top halves to fold down in order to provide additional ventilation_ The normal seating capacity of this body is 26 passengers inside and three beside the driver, but provision can be made for increasing this to 32 by fitting automatic tip-up gangway seats. As in the case of the other body, C.A.V. standard lighting set is fitted.
