May I correct a "timetable error" in your Busplan '78 item (CM October 21)?
Far from submitting Busplan "hot on the heels of" Greater London Council's document "London Transport — A Nor Look", London Transport pi forward its plan to the G LC last June and it is, in fact, mentioned in the G LC papal The original Busplan '78, however, has since been overtaken by events to som extent. Because of financia constraints, the proposals have had to be modified to some degree, although the aim of providing more regular and reliable bus services for London remain the same. The modified proposals, which incorpora some of the G LC's suggestions, will form part of London Transport's budget to be considered by the G LC this month.
