Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Materials Handling Division Wednesfield, Wolverhamptt Known as the NER mode they will be available capacities of 1,600kg (3,500' and 2,000kg (4,5001b) DEMOUNTABLE demonsti tion units based on Ray Smi under frames with hydrau retractable support legs s used by Weatherseal Win do Ltd, Oldham, Lanes, weighi only 3.8 tonnes (3 tons I8cw The demount, built to sim late a house, comes comple with pebble-dashed walls, front door — and double-gla ed windows — but diffe further from other Ri Smith-equipped bodies wi the inclusion of a containi hydraulic power pack 1 operate the four retractab hydraulic legs. Imm (24-inch) load centres d also with narrow and le-fame options.

ncorporated in the design is kostatic power steering, f-adjusting brakes, polyureme load wheels and an ctronic differential drive ;tem to the drive wheels. )river fatigue is minimised because a principal feature of the cab design has been the incorporation of full-power steering allied with a nine-inch steering wheel. Turning effort is only in the order of 4-51b and takes six turns from lock to lock.

Apart from the large area accelerator and brake pedals, all other hydraulic functions such as reach, tilt, elevation and lowering, are within easy reach of the driver's right hand.

A control panel in front of the steering wheel has the direction selector, a work-hour meter, discharged battery indicator, and a safety warning light which indicates if the truck has been left in a potentially hazardous condition.

Maintenance and accessibility have been key elements of the design. One aspect of this has been the incorporation of replaceable straddle-arm wear strips along which the mast is extended and retracted. Replacement of these can be carried out without removing the mast and is accomplished within minutes.

The mast leg rollers are sealed for life, widely spaced so as to spread the load, and require virtually no maintenance under normal conditions. Two safety features built into the mast design have been the addition of a secondary mast tilt restraint system which does not rely only on the tilt cylinders for mechanical fixing to the mast legs. The other feature is a hydraulic control valve incorporated at the base of the hydraulic lift cylinder and which prevents uncontrolled load descent in the event of hydraulics failure or hose fracture.

This new product is aimed at the distribution and high-density warehousing sectors of industry.
