istrict Council could become a serious burden on the tepayers, the council's environmental health committee heard it week.
Committee chairman Robert Reid was commenting on a port by health director John Smart which forecast costs of 94,000 over the next five years to keep the fleet in its most st-effective condition.
Mr Smart warned that the estimate had been reached on 1977 sts and he added that in the last two and a half years costs had ared by around 100 per cent. "If we are going to maintain our et it is going to be quite a problem for us in the years to come," id Mr Smart.
