HE 6x4 tractive unit 40R3 on isplay is fitted with a new on-reactive rear suspension ihich ERF claims will offer safer peration with lighter weight.

On show vvith a 3.71m (12ft in) wheelbase the 40R3 is owered by a Rolls-Royce 265L ngine through a nine-speed Fuller gearbox. The cab is standard SP type with plastic panels over a steel subframe and is exhibited in the colours of Calor Transport.

Exhibited in the livery of J. McBean Transport, the 40G2 tractive unit on display is fitted with a twin bunk sleeper-cab and powered by a 8LXB Gardner engine.

Completing the ERF display is a Cummins-powered 38C2 tractive unit with a power take-off and drive shafts for trailer-mounted discharge equipment fitted to customer requirements. The vehicle is shown in the livery of Scott-Bader who manufacture the raw plastic for the ERF SP cab.
