IN the next five weeks officials of Ribble
Motor Services will be selling "package holidays", particularly in the north-west, to the Swedes, Germans and French. Traffic manager Mr. E. W. Butcher has just been to Stockholm to sell the idea of tours to Lancashire coastal resorts and the Lake District. Later this month, Mr. Alan Munby, southern area superintendent based at Chorley, and publicity officer Mr. George Bell will be doing the same in Paris and Frankfurt.
Mr. Butcher has also been studying traffic techniques at the municipal bus undertakings in Stockholm, Malmo and Copenhagen.
