MR. J. GLYN JONES has joined the• technical sales staff of the Sheepbridge 'Group and will represent Sheepbridge 'Alloy Castings, Ltd., and Sintered Products, Ltd., in the north-west of England. MR. V. S. JACKSON has taken over the southern area as technical sales representative. MR. J. H. DAWSON has been appointed technical sales engineer of Twiflex Couplings, Ltd., and will cover an area extending over 'Southern England.
MR. F. G. ROBBINS, director of export sales and special contracts of the Avon • India Rubber Co., Ltd., is to concentrate wholly on special contracts. New staff appointments 'have been made in , consequence. MR. W. F. THOMSON has become export sales manager (tyres), and MR. D. C. ROYLE home sales manager (tyres). MR. J. F. SWANBOROUGH has been appointed field manager (south) and MR. A. H. R. Dix field manager (north) of the originalequipment division. MR. A. A. E. LORD LUKE OF PAVENHAM has been elected first president of the National Association of Warehousekeepers. He is a director Of a number of companies.
MR. J. B. ARCHER, director of P. W. Archer and Son, Ltd., Northallerton, engineers and hauliers, has been elected chairman of Northallerton Chamber of Trade.
MR. L. S. WOODALL has been appointed tyre salesman of the North British Rubber Co., Ltd., covering the counties of Carnarvon, Denbigh, Flint and Merioneth.
MR. WALTER BLADES, export sales manager of Scammell Lorries, Ltd., left by air last week for an extensive tour of the Middle East. He expects to be back early in the New Year.
MR. R. PARNELL has joined the Dove group of companies as personal assistant to MR. L. F. DOVE, F.I.M.I., chairman and managing director. Mr. Famell was until recently the transport manager for the Kermanshah Petroleum Co., a subsidiary of the Anglo-Iranian concern.
MR. D. W. CHERRY has been appointed an assistant engineer of the North Western Road Car Co., Ltd. Son of MR. G. A. CHERRY, general manager of Birkenhead Transport Department, he joined the company nearly three years ago after serving an apprenticeship with Leyland Motors, Ltd, MR. FRANK WELLS and his brother, MR. HARRY WELLS, have together completed 92 years' service with the Vacuum Oil Co., Ltd. Mr. Frank Wells joined the concern in 1908 and is now on the staff of the northern automotive division. His brother started in 1910 and is marketing assistant in the southern automotive divisional office.
