A LIGHT-ALLOY articulated bus r"t with a seating capacity of 80 has recently been built for the Bahrain Petroleum Co., Ltd., by Comjoint, Ltd., I.ondon Road, Bishop's •Stortford.

B pied on a Crane semi-trailer chassis, it has an overall length of 40 ft. 6 in. and is 8 ft. 4 in. wide.

The body is framed with t h c Comjoint tubular method of construction. Panels are of 18g. aluminium and are attached to the frame by Pop rivets with plastic plugging. The floor consists of lightalloy planks bolted to cross-members of 3i-in. by

alloy channel.

A folding door is provided near the front on the near side and there is an emergency door at the rear.

The roof is insulated with Rocksil.

Ventilation is provided by means of Ashanco vents in the roof and by the windows in the front, sides and rear, which are of the half-sliding type.

Slatted timber seats are fitted transversely along each side of the bus. The Seat frames are on Metalastik mountings.

Screw-operated legs are provided to support the semi-trailer when it is uncoupled from its tractor. Vacuum brakes are fitted.

Green is the main colour on the outside of the body, and this is broken by polished aluminium mouldings at waist level. The roof is painted white.
