Remote tuning control by a small dial mounted on the steering column, just below the wheel, is used, and this tuning plate is the sole visible evidence of the presence of the set. In the installation on the coach, various special measures are taken to suppress any possible interference from the engine and its accessories, and, as our experience satisfactorily showed, these steps are most efficient.

The vehicle to which the set was fitted was driven in and around London, between tall buildings, under and over iron bridges, and even along London tramlines with the electric conduit system, as well as overhead wiring. In no case was any interference experienced, whilst turning to the right or left had no effect on the clarity of the reception or its volume.

Current for heating the valve fila meats (L.T. current) is taken from the battery of the lighting. system, whilst H.T. is derived from a dry battery mounted under the driver's seat.
