Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Dairy Products Transport, the transport arm of Dairy Crest, has agreed the terms of a new working arrangement with Dutch company Transport Centrale Gelderland — the Nijmegen-based transport consortium. It is Dairy Products' first venture into Europe.

Transport Centrale Gelderland (TCG) operates in central clearing, forwarding and marketing, matching up transport capacity between the 86 members of the consortium based in France, Spain, Germany and Ireland, who between them operate over 3,000 vehicles.

In 1987 the business opened the Nijmegen Container Termainal serviced by four container ships crossing to the UK.

Dairy Products Transport (DPT) operates around 1,200 vehicles from 45 locations throughout England and Wales, and specialises in the transportation of bulk liquid foods and chilled food products.

Operations director Keith Affieck said the primary aim was to service Dairy Crest's European markets. "But the new facilities will offer a competitive new option to customers who are looking for costeffective distribution of foods throughout Europe," he said.
