Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MANY congratulations to Live Promotions and to Commercial Motor for staging Truckfest 85. It was something for everyone to enjoy and a really good weekend break, a well organised event with plenty to do and see — many, many thanks: first class!

entered two vehicles with my wik and son and I stayed at Peterborough and we certainly will be back again next .year, hoping the weather will be a little kinder!

do hope you will be prepared for a large increase in competitors, or should I say snow-balling effect, because this clean image and presentation to the haulage industry is much needed and events like Truckfest must encourage the non-con verted.

A possible suggestion to encourage this could he by segregating vehicles into years of manufacture plus, say, three very small additional prizes in each year. Many drivers at the Show told Inc that the prestige of a small piece of paper was worth much much more than the money. Anyone should be able to keep a B registration in respectable condition; I did feel sorry for the driver with all X reg parked next to a twomonth-old B reg.

Many thanks again to what must be an important annual event — I am already looking forward to next year's show.

Gilbert Richardson, Barinby Moor, Yorks
