Hauliers may be able to recoup from manufacturers some of the money that they lost in the strike and are still losing in an inflationary wage settlement. Truckman, published by Seddon Atkinson,
forecasts tough competition for vehicle orders and adds: "As far as hauliers are concerned, it's going to be a buyer's market."
