Windsorian Coaches has appointed two new directors following the retirement of Don Try and Commander Anthony Kennard.
David Spain is now responsible for marketing and development at Windsorian. He has previously worked for Saga Holidays, National Travel and as a reporter with Commercial Motor.
Howard Thomas is the new director with resonsibility for all operational matters. He joined Windsorian in 1976 from the transport department of Air Products. He has previous coaching experience with Rickards Tours of London.
Cave Wood (Transport) has appointed John Marriot to an executive post to handle the company's freight services to and from France.
The need for this new position arises from Cave Wood's link up with Mitjaville of Pan tin near Paris. Mr Marriot, a member of the Institute of Freight Forwarders, will divide his time equally between Cave Wood's High Wycombe headquarters and Paris.
Before joining Cave Wood Mr Marriot was chairman and managing director of Interoute, a company he founded in 1968.
ERF has appointed two new area sales managers. George Hunter is responsible for the North of England and Scotland, while the Midlands and the North East of England is now covered by Paul Loring.
David Jenkins has been promoted to general sales manager, original equipmei for Michelin.
Formerly the depu1 manager, he replaces Te Kirby who has retired after, years with the company.
Sir Dan Pettit, until last ye chairman of the Nation Freight Corporation, is to I the next chairman of the Pc Office Pension Fund. He tak over in July from Alfri Singer, who has resigned.
