MORE TIGER CUBS FOR WESTERN WELSH

TO augment 130 Leyland Tiger Cub buses already in service with the Western Welsh Omnibus Co., Ltd., a further 62 vehicles of this type are to be acquired. The company are also introducing Leyland-M.C.W. Olympian chassisless buses. Ten of 40 are so far on the road.

Fifty of the new Tiger Cubs will have Weymann 44-seat all-metal bodies for stage-carriage services, and the remaining 12 will have Willowbrook 41-seat all-metal bodies troy express routes.

On service in South Wales, Tiger Cubs average 13.6 m.p.g. on schedules requiring average speeds of 17 m.p.h.
