AR. A. E. BREWER was on Monday al elected chairman of the Passenger
Vehicle Operators Association. He succeeds Mr, F. Broomfield (Barton Transport, Ltd.). •
Mr. Brewer is the principalpartner in the family concern of Brewer's Motor Services, Caerau, South Wales, which operates 40 vehicles, mainly on town services. He has been connected with the Association for 35 years and has held office as chairman of the South Wales Are and vice-chairman of the National Council.
Mr. F. J. Speight (George Ewer and Co., Ltd.), Mr-1-1.` W.B. Richards (Saloom Salbon Coaches,. Ltd.), Mr. T. Hoyle (T. Hoyle and Sonrand Mr. A. Bolton (Ribblesdale Coaehways, Ltd.) were elected vice-chairmen., and Mr.
S. D. Oddy (Surrey Motors, Ltd.), honorary treasurer. Mr. John M. Birch remains chairman of the national executive and the finance committee.
Area chairmen are now Mr. L. W. Evans (East Midland), Mr. W. Emmetson (Northern), Mr. F. Brazendale (North Western), Mr. W. Dodds (Scottish), Mr. A. E. Brewer (South Wales), , Mr. G. Feltham (Western), Mr. H. W. B. Richards (West Midland). Mr. T. Hoyle (Yorkshire) and Mr. S. H. Waters (London and Home Counties).
