The easiest way to look for a used vehicle on the Chatfields website is to use the search box on the homepage itself select a make and model. then click on the 'search' button.
Alternatively, choose one of three categories from the main menu: trucks, vans or minibuses. You will then be taken to a more comprehensive search page with additional criteria such as axle configuration (for trucks) and minimum and maximum engine capacity (for vans and minibuses). A final option on this page allows you to tap in a keyword of your choice.
Since Chatfields has partnerships with OAF, Ford, lveco and WV, it is not surprising to see these makes dominating the product list, The 'trucks' category is fairly evenly split between tractor units and rigids. with plenty of DAF XF95 and XF105 with Space Cabs available when we checked.
Once you have carried out a search, the website will list all the stock that matches your criteria, 10 to a page. For each vehicle you will see a thumbnail image, a title and brief description (such as year and mileage), and a link for More details'. Clicking on the image, title or link will take you to a page displaying further information such as chassis type and colour.
On this page you will also see a small 'magnifying glass icon: select this to see a larger, clearer version of the thumbnail image. You will then be able to cycle through additional photos by clicking on the 'next button. Four photos a mixture of internal and external shots are available for every vehicle, ■A is the sort of thing that Webwatch would like to see or more used truck websites.
Prices are given for vans and minibuses, but not to trucks. Should any item catch your interest, click on tl bright red 'enquire now' button and complete the onli form with your details.
