Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A CHAIN of principal distributors which z 1. eventually will cover all the important areas of England and Scotland is now being built up for• their vehicle body finishes by paint manufacturers Blundell-Permoglaze Ltd. in association with the Marsham Tyre Co.

Agreement was reached some months ago between the two companies that Marsham would distribute Blundell-Permoglaze vehicle body finishes from Marsham branches in areas where there was a reasonably high demand potential for vehicle finishes which was not yet being catered for.

So far 21 establishments under the Marsham wing are stocking Blundell-Permoglaze finishes and distributing them with full technical service, sales and delivery backing from Blundell Permoglaze. In Scotland there are five—all branches of James Aitchison and Co. (Tyres), part of the Marsham group—in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Kirkcaldy and Lockerbie.

In England, branches so far opened are in Sunderland (G. N. Tyre Co. (Vulcanizers) Ltd.), Sheffield (John Needham and Co. (Sheffield) Ltd.), Berwick-on-Tweed (James Aitchison and Co. (Tyres)), and in Accrington, Manchester, Leeds, Hull, Portsmouth, Brighton, Guildford, Dunstable, Bedford, Wellingborough, Bury St. Edmunds and Kings Lynn.

During the next 18 months it is planned to add the paint supply service to at least another 25 Marsham branches. Eventually a chain of about 100 is envisaged.
