Edmondson Ltd., of Preston, reduced their application for six additional articulated units on A licence to three, and placed additional limit4tions on their operations, before the North Western deputy Licensing Authority, Mr. G. Newman, in Preston last Friday.
Agreement was reached after the applicants, who are the sole carriers in the North of England for the J. and A. shipping line, halved their application and specified the ports of operation in the normal User to read: "mainly (80 per cent) goods to and from 3. and A. Line Irish ferries at Preston and Liverpool".
