ON having his attention called to the habitual disregard of the speed limit on the Thames Embankment, including Millbank and Grosvenor Road, Mr. G. Lloyd, Under Secretary for the Home Department. stated that the police were already taking active steps to check speeding on the Embankment During 1937 over 1,000 persons were reported, with a view to prosecution, for exceeding the speed limit along this particular stretch of road.
