Dekra will advise whether the operator is ready for inspection and, if not, what improvements are required to meet Label expectations. Once satisfied, an audit visit will follow. The scheme allows for various levels of certification, depending on the site's facilities and security levels.

Sites awarded a blue flag will display an electronic entrance sign giving information on the number of parking spaces available, its security rating and a quality rating. It may also carry information directing hazardous goods carriers to a certain area of the site.
